The British F2 series is a nice start to UKGPL F2 racing with a 5 race championship run on all the British GPL tracks. All these circuits were used for F2 racing in the 60s, and they all have a great 60s racing feel to them.
Format
Races are be bi-weekly on Tuesday nights, and all the races are moderated with the points gping towards the series standings. Points will be from the Best 4 out of 5 races, ie everyone drops their worst race. Any penalties will be deducted after that race has been dropped. Points will be standard UKGPL non-tokens ie 50, 40, 35, 30 etc.
Races are all be Int Long with 30 minutes qualifying. Car choice is open, use any car for any race, but there is an informal handicap system - if you are fast, use the slightly slower cars, and only use the Brabham if you need it to keep up! As a rough guide the top 3 should probably all be in nothing faster than a Cooper. It's not absolute and drivers won't know til the race how fast they'll be relative to everyone else, so don't panic, just make a sensible guess.
Tracks
Only one of the five tracks is a GPL original, the rest are add-ons. If you don't have them you can get Brands Hatch from The US Pits (just search down the page for Brands Hatch), and Snetterton, Goodwood and Crystal Palace are all available from the GPLEA site, in the GPL sections under "Race Circuits".
