Season 2 Rules

• Points scoring for divisions 2 to 4 will be as follows:

  The points starting from 1^st are 50, 40, 35, 30, 25, 20, 16, 13, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point for 18^th

  Division 1 will use a different point's scoring system to correspond with the token system. See below for details.

  Three of the races competed will have the points dropped.

Token and scoring system

Division 1 is using a system whereby each driver has to purchase the cars they race with, from an initial allocation of tokens. Overspend is permitted, however, this results in a deduction in championship points at the end of the season and is therefore not advised. The details and rules of this system are explained below.

The purpose of this token system is:

1. to allow people to drive any car they wish
2. to close up the racing; and
3. to make sure the final championship standing reflect how well everyone has driven rather than the car they chose.

Race points are, from 1st down to 15th: 50, 43, 38, 34, 30, 27, 24, 21, 18, 15, 12, 9, 6, 3, 0.

Each driver is given 120 tokens for 12 races (10 tokens per race, which may rise if we use additional tracks).
Cars are valued (in tokens) as follows:

	Lotus	22
	Eagle	20
	Ferrari	16
	Brabham	12
	Honda	7
	Cooper	6
	BRM	2

• For races you do not turn up to you are deducted 2 tokens.
• If you get disco'd you are deducted the number of tokens that the car you started in is valued at, divided by 2 — except for the BRM which is scored as 2 tokens regardless.
• Any overspend in tokens at the end of the season is converted into a percentage to deduct from the driver's final score. The percentage to deduct is 25% of token overspend, ie. an overspend of 20 points will dictate a 5% reduction of your overall championship score.
